USA 2000
This is where it started. We found the car under a pile of stuff at Darkhorse Performance in Renton, Washington in 2000. We made the deal and the car was dragged to our friends place, the Greens, for assembly and shipping to Long Beach, Ca.
Gasser Days
The Vicki had a bit of history as a Gasser in the 80s. Some work had been done on it to alter the wheelbase, but fortunately it was easily fixed.
First Lookeks
The owner had stored the car in a corner of his workshop, and over the years it filled up with junk.
Where is it?
This is how it was when we first laid eyes on it.
Rescued!
We finally got the car out of the workshop after money changed hands. We dragged in onto a car trailer and, with only a day left to go before we had to leave the USA, backed it into the Greens garage and re-assembled the car as best we could to keep it all together.
Re-assembly
Hood, fenders, doors, all had to be bolted in place. Glass had to be stuck in place. Everything else was boxed up and lashed down inside the car.
