Engine and Trans
The engine was built by Fyshwick Heads. It was balanced internally, using three chrome moly slugs in the crankshaft. 10:1 pistons were installed. The heads were completely built from Edelbrock Performer bare castings.
Engine Trial Fit
The engine was trial fitted to make sure everything cleared. The holley base plates were changed to throttle bodies from EFI Hardware. A Romac harmonic balancer was installed to replace the stock unit and fitted for a Gilmer drive.
Plumbing
Fuel lines, brake lines, cooling system and gilmer drive all fitted up for the last time.
Donk
Transmission
The 727 Transmission was completely rebuilt for performance. A manual, reverse pattern valve body was fitted, a big transmission oil cooler was plumbed and it was all shifted by a B&M Ratchet Shifter.
Radiator
A four core radiator was built to fit inside the grille shell by Renner Radiators in Fyshwick, ACT. The top tank is from a VC Valiant and the bottom tank from a forklift radiator.
Cooling Fan
The cooling fan is a Davies Craig 16 inch unit that is activated via a relay by the engine management system when the water temperature reaches 97 degrees Celsius, and de-activated at 95 degrees Celsius.
