If your looking at injecting almost any engine this is the book. Its written so anyone can understand it. The layout really suits my learning style, never seems to complex and seems to come from a really down to earth guy who knows what the average Joe is trying to do. If you've looked into injection and think you cant afford it, think again. This book will save you hundreds. Explains all the sensors and hardware required and how they need to be fitted to inject almost any engine. Great links and websites where these parts can be bought in most cases cheaper than you'd think. Great book for the beginner with enough ideas proposed for more advanced people wanting to take the extra step. A must have.

Ford BTR Retro-fit

The Australian Fords of the 90's and early 2000s were powered by inline 6 and 5.0L EFI V8 engines. The transmissions used were the BTRE electronically controlled transmissions, a strong, reliable four speed with lock up converter. They have the same bolt pattern as the three speed C4 used behind 289 and 302 Windsor V8 engines and are cheap and plentiful. The 5L V8 and BTR combination is a popular swap into a Hot Rod, earlier Fords or custom vehicles. This book describes the wiring and electronics required to make them work outside of the factory configuration. It is written in easy to understand language that any back yard mechanic can understand. It includes model numbers and information for the controllers, circuit diagrams and test procedures. There is information on third party components, modifications, and troubleshooting. The Author fitted this combination into a 1956 Ford Crown Victoria with a stroked 5L and eight stack injection.
